Both are part of the 530-acre residential golf, recreational and waterfront community’s new Harbor Village, a $114 million project that will subsequently also include condominiums with a rental management program option and scenic sites for individual, custom-designed cottages.

This new neighborhood will be a significant addition to existing Harbor Shores offerings, including The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, Hideaway cottages, Trailside cottages and Fairways signature golf homes, noted Kerry M. Wright II, director of real estate sales and marketing.

“Boating access to and from Lake Michigan is an important amenity for Harbor Shores as well as residents from surrounding communities and visitors too,” he said.

A first-class marina, The Harborage will offer 60 floating dock slips for boats from 25 to 90 feet in length and 350 feet of broadside dockage for yachts to 120 feet and longer, plus a depth of 12 feet to accommodate big vessels, for a total of nearly 100 slips. Both annual leases as well as transient slips will be available.

The Harbor Village Inn will feature 92 rooms, 14 luxury suites, fine harborside dining, indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, spa, salon, fitness center and rooftop deck with sweeping views of Lake Michigan, the City of St. Joseph and Harbor Shores’ Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

“We look forward to offering an extraordinary hotel to the area that will reinforce the vibrant lifestyle offered at Harbor Shores,” Wright shared, adding that Harbor Shores plans to have both the marina and hotel completed by Memorial Day weekend 2014 to welcome the new boating season and Senior PGA Championship, being hosted at Harbor Shores’ Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course May 22-25, 2014.
