Each year, hundreds of thousands of parade spectators line historic Woodward Avenue on Thanksgiving morning to watch the larger-than-life floats, colorful-high-flying balloons, thunderous marching bands, and unique performance acts. The parade begins at Woodward and Kirby. It’s roughly an hour and a half march down to Celebration Zone. The parade ends at Woodward and Congress.

HollyDazzle is a magical three-quarter mile outdoor trail featuring more than a dozen lighted Christmas scenes including Santa Claus, Sledding Penguins and Candy Land Castle in a magical winter wonderland walk through at the Michigan Renaissance Festival Village. Friends of Ludington State Park coordinates monthly guided hikes the third Sunday of each month beginning at 2 p.m. from the Warming Shelter. Each hike is led by two volunteer hike leaders and will cover different areas of the park. You do not have to be an experienced hiker to participate, since hiking pace and length will vary depending on the interest of the participants.
